Yes, that’s right new exciting adventures are waiting ahead and couldn’t be happier!! Destination No1 is the city that never sleeps – New York and just can’t wait to get on that airplane! Departing from Greece tomorrow, Monday April 8, so I’m still packing and trying to organize everything diligently since I’ll be gone for two weeks. This was not actually planned but rather came up as a snap decision when a friend of mine who lives there brought up the idea. It didn’t take long of course and a week later I had already booked my tickets.

The MET, MOMA, the Guggenheim, the Museum Of Natural History, Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge, World Trade Center, the Empire State Building but also Katz’s famous pastrami sandwiches and many more gastronomical niches are on my schedule. What I really missed though, which I can’t easily find here in Greece, are donuts of course…lol. Well, you know…I’m American after all… I mean who can possibly survive without Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’ ??

So how did China come up? The truth is I’ve been wanting to get there two years now but was a bit unlucky. But hey, I do believe that everything happens at the right time for you. So this time, I’m in for a treat. Not only will I be able to learn more about the Chinese language and culture but I will have the opportunity to teach English to Chinese students, an endeavour that has been on my mind for the last year. ITA is giving me this opportunity to fulfill another dream and am so thankful and exhilarated. I have still not decided the duration of my stay there but it will be more than a month. I just can’t wait to see the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the terracotta warriors in Xi’ An and many more….and of course the food!

Refraining from editing articles for now until I return and put them together with new material but also finish off some previous ones. See you in New York!!
