I had a crazy idea this summer; I wanted to travel as much as I could, to see as much as possible and roam the world by airplane, bus, train and foot. Swirling in my mind for a long time, I wouldn’t find peace if this didn’t materialize, so I had to start planning. It all started when some friends invited me to Italy, one of my favourite countries. That would be a great opportunity to travel around the country and discover its hidden beauties. Basically, there is no part of Italy that I don’t like; it’s one of the most beautiful destinations in the world, with its rich history, medieval past, outstanding architecture-castles, churches and monuments- museums small niches for food and entertainment, picturesque landscapes- small villages with clustered houses as if painted by a great master of art- scenic coastal towns and also the people. Italians are very friendly and colorful, you will make friends in no time; open-minded and communicative and very passionate.

So I started searching for tickets and started drafting an itinerary. Who would’ve known…I couldn’t find tickets to any destination. The only ones left were extremely expensive and would rather travel to another continent instead of Europe at such a high cost. But I had to go; I wouldn’t compromise. Another country that had been on my mind for a long time was Croatia and for a good reason. It is gorgeous. With natural havens, turquoise lakes, magical waterfalls and very safe for solo travelers. And there was a ticket available for me; I might as well start there, after all you know my motto : “Well why the hell not”…

Ten days of constant traveling, from city to city, changing one and two or even more destinations I made my way from Zadar- a beautiful coastal town on the Adriatic Sea- to Italy to meet my friends. And this is my route:

I just arrived home and am trying to figure out where to start…any ideas? Hmm, I think I know…
